Hey! I'm Aislinn ("Ace-lyn"), a 3rd year graduate student in the Mathematics Department at the University of Texas at Austin.

I enjoy thinking about the interactions between topology, geometry, and group theory (what's not to like?)

My current research concerns the computational and combinatorial complexity of positive-genus surface braid groups, with emphasis on the word problem, automata theory, and Garside structures.

More broadly, I am interested in groups arising from configuration spaces and related moduli-type structures. I am also interested in homotopy-theoretic and operadic techniques that connect these objects to low-dimensional topology, braid/knot theory, and geometric group theory.

Please find my CV here.
