Hey! I'm Aislinn ("Ace-lyn"), a graduate student in the mathematics department at McGill University

I enjoy thinking about the connections between algebraic and geometric topology, group theory, and combinatorial structures.

My current research concerns the complexity and isoperimetric behavior of positive-genus surface braid groups, with an emphasis on the word problem and (bi)automatic group structures.

More broadly, I am interested in configuration spaces and related moduli spaces, particularly as settings for studying braid and braid-like groups. I would like to learn more about the homotopy-theoretic, operadic, and algebro-geometric perspectives that connect these groups to questions across topology and geometry.
